Cyprus: the Result

As expected and detailed below, the Turkish Cypriots voted for (65%) the reunification plan and Greek Cypriots against (76%). A big chance to move forward was missed. At least the Turkish Cypriots will now receive further international recognition and aid. With the international isolation of the past 30 years, the Northern Cyprus economy has suffered considerably and is much poorer than the South. Hopefully, this will start to change.
